I apologize if this question has been run into the ground.

I got a double-entry in the states, and another single-entry after they changed the visa rules recently. Is there any location that will allow me another single-entry? Am I still eligible for the new six month visa? Are there any other options (other than the ED)?

  • You don't say where you are. If in Thailand you should have no problem getting another SETV but the METV isn't available.

If you're in the US you could apply for either a SETV or METV.

Your previous 2 tourist visas shouldn't restrict you getting either a SETV or METV.

Elite visa. 5 years for 500,000 baht or a Non Immigrant visa if you are over 50 or married.

Sorry. I'm from the states, living in Chiang Mai. Do I need to change the location I get the visa from every time or does it not matter?

Most local embassies/consulates have their own limits. You should be good for 2 or 3 from the same place.

There is no overall limit. You can keep entering Thailand with a tourist visa all the time someone will issue you one.

Got my last double-entry issued in Laos,Vientianne 5 months ago (So I need to get a new one soon).

Dont they offer double-entries anymore ?

If so, whats the fastest way to get a new SETV ?

  • The double entry isn't available anymore from anywhere.
  • If you've only had the one double you should be ok for a SETV from Vientiane.
  • Vientiane is probably the best option if yore going by land. If flying you could consider Penang, Malaysia.

I had only one double from Vientiane, but another double from Kota Baru, Malaysia, as well as a SETV from my home country.

So all in all im here for a bit more than one year now.

Will it still be okay to get another SETV from Vientiane ?

Dont wonder why I have another username now, I just created a new one the last time to post on this topic because I forgot the details - very sorry for that

Thanks for the help ! wai.gif

Yes you should be ok. Vientiane are usually only bothered about the number of tourist visas you've had from them.
