As I was in SEKA a small town?, visiting a friend, in the "new" Bueng Kan province, so not far from the border https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bueng_Kan_Province,

I decided to drive a day trip to the Friendship Bridge 3? in Nakhon Phanom to get my new Visa activated.

Had a nice Bungalow in the middle of town in Seka. 400.- B.

About 130 km from Seka to Nakhon Phanom. On the way, market shopping in Ban Phaeng - nice curves

and lunch near Mekong.

The roads mostly empty and straight along the Mekong.

The impressive bridge and buildings all nearly empty. But it has some lorry traffic!

As there is no Thai Consular Office on the Lao side, that crossing in Nong Khai is only sparsely frequented from Falangs, I was the only one as far as I saw it during my crossing and back. Only some Lao and Thais joined me in the Bus - enough sitting places free!

Not same in sometime crowded Nong Khai and also less than in Mukdahan-Savannaketh.

On the Lao side, no Taxis, no people who want to sale you something or .... just nothing and nobody.

A lot of empty space, only the Bus shuttle service can bring you away there easy.

Only one small downturn, the buses drive only every 50 minutes? I had a small nap.

A very small kiosk which makes the small shopping space in Savannaketh side of the border look big, is all you have on that bridge.

Only big trucks lorries seem to frequent that border more and steady.

If time is on your hands a nice experience no hassle.

Same I wrote before, we knew her already, brought with us. . Ban Phaeng - Mekong - opposite Lao with nice hilly country.

I am OK with the Honda CB 650 F the IXS Exhaust makes a nice sound, good for dogs and pedestrians, bikes and smaller motorbikes.

Still can not much say about really curvy roads, mountain roads. Have the plan to visit such terrain, Isaan is a bit flat and only hilly.

Ordered a set of HYPERPRO shock and front fork springs, as I am a (very) heavy guy and had such equipment on my Yamaha R1 Model 1998 in my home country was very satisfied.

2 cm shorter the shock, so a bit more lower seat position too.
