Gonzo the Face
......and by some people, I put myself right in the middle of that group. A couple days ago , our most unreliable of weather forecasters were warning of a severe cold front coming in and we would be noticeable affected by much lower temperatures. In fact the figure was stated that there would be a 10 degree C. drop from the previous day. Cold warnings were published.. The High temp of 24 degrees was quoted. Well any of us breathing at the moment in CM know that that just didn't happen. Today was to be colder and that would go thru tomorrow. Strange, but I never remember sweating so much in such cold temperatures. Now I acknowledge that weather reporting is not truly an exact science, but you think they could get closer with a couple darts and a market up dart board. What are the requirements for being a weather forecaster here??? I think you must have delivered newspapers for at least a year, a paper that displayed a weather forecast somewhere on the front page. Com'on gang try and get a little closer.... PS ... I know.... we just got hit with global warming last night.
CMKiwi
Yes Gonzo, I was looking forward to the cooler weather too. Out here in Mae Rim the weather forcast (According to Accuweather) was suppose to be cooler with a 65% chance of a few thunderstorms. Well at the moment (Just after 1pm) the weather is a very humid 30 celsius (Thats about 85 farenheit) with a crazy easterly blowing. At least the washing will be dry in no time.... Now I just need to find a nice cool swimming pool preferrably in the shade and lie back for the afternoon while imbibing a few nice cold ales.... and who said life is tough in Thailand? Someones gotta do it. Oh and hey, thanks for the great meal of fish and chips yesterday. 3 fillets and a good pile of chips washed down with a nice cold Leo. May have to visit again next Friday! Trujillo
1. Wouldn't it be nice if people titled their threads with something that gave at least SOME indication of what the subject of the thread is? 2. Wait for it. It's not an exact science but it is coming. Bredbury Blue
Big rainstorm near Suvarnabhumi this morning, it's very overcast and a cool feeling 26c...my kids just commented that it reminds them of autumn in England. This cool season we've had rain but rarely cool weather.

Throatwobbler
Clouds building my way, I think the weather they forecast is on the way. The OP says that some people never learn and I think that is true. Every year a storm comes through in dry times. Every year somebody posts that the weather forecasters don't know what they are doing and the vast majority of times it is the weather forecasters who are correct. Storms on the way, might be time to eat some humble pie. Storm better come now or it will be me who looks stupid.

Gonzo the Face
Mods I didn't intend for this topic to detract from what I consider to be the sanctity of Got Losts "Rain" thread. As there have been some good links in this thread, I wouldn't like to have them lost, so if possible can this thread with its posted links be merged with the other? If it cannot , then do close it, if need be. jobin
Was smashing golf balls at Mae Jo Sunday about 2pm. Pleasant and mild. Then a huge dark billowing cloud appeared on the horizon and within 15 minutes had strong winds, pelting rain and a temp drop of 12*. The clouds, rain and dropping temps have continued even to now, Tuesday 10am. Looking forward to cool season golf later today. Must search for my mittens.
