How serious are these job offers as translators?

I always see the same guy looking for somebody to do translations from English into a particular language from Merkel country.

It's always the same. 450 words for free as a proof of good skills? Or is it a nice way to find people who do free transaltions?

My point being here is to warn people. I'm not saying that this particular posting is not serious, but it smells fishy.

Why would somebody always look for somebody? It isn't that difficult to find a decent guy, or two.

But no, you can see this add for years. And the job title is always changing, but the free translation as a test stays the same.
