CityNews – More than 120 migrant workers met with the Deputy Governor, Prachuap Kantiya, and a representative from the Chiang Mai Labour Protection and Welfare Office, asking to assist them in receiving payment from the Perfecto Company, who owes over 3 million baht in wages.

On January 27, more than 120 migrants met at the City Hall to ask for help in making the Perfecto Company pay the wages they owe.

The company employed the workers to build a luxury condominium housing estate in the city.

Over 200 employees of the company have not been paid since December.

Seems to be 3 project affected, anyone know the locations?

Yes, let's get the locations. Want to steer people away from a company like this.

Also, the article mentioned that the government would take action at a "later date". No way that is going to help those workers now (unless extra informal pressure is put upon this company somehow).

The signs are there - rents are coming down, and the high season is nearly over in CM. Quite a few empty shopfronts.

A couple of my favourite restaurants have closed as well. Some of the massage shops only get 2-3 customers in a day.

Why not just give the condos to the migrants?

They have all been sold 'off-plan' already.

Flippant comment that might just hold some truth and indicate buyers will also be having problems.
