PHATTHALUNG:-- A murder investigation is underway after a man was stabbed to death and his girlfriend raped and left for dead following an argument between a group of friends in Phatthalung, southern Thailand.

The shocking incident happened on Thursday when a group of friends had a disagreement after one of the men accused another member of the group of flirting with his sister.

Thai media reports how the 19 year old deceased man and his girlfriend were lured to a secluded part of a forest in Phatthalung by four of his friends, said to be aged between 17 and 19, in order to try and sort out their differences.

The four men are then reported to have carried out a frenzied and brutal attack that resulted in the other man being stabbed multiple times before later burying his body in a shallow grave.

The group then brutally raped the dead man’s girlfriend (name withheld), 19, and then pushed her off the side of an embankment, leaving her for dead.

Miraculously, the young woman survived and after regaining consciousness managed to alert locals from a nearby village who then contacted the police. The woman was taken to hospital and later told police of her ordeal.

The deceased and his girlfriend had been reported missing by their families on January 28th.

Police and local rescue workers then found the body of the dead man hidden under branches in the forest on Sunday morning.

Police have since managed to arrest two of the attackers, identified only as Par, 17, and Ohm, 18. Two others remain on the run.

Whilst being questioned by police the two teenagers confessed to the murder of the man and the rape and attempted murder of the woman. They also allegedly claimed not be in control of their of actions after taking kratom leaves prior to carrying out the attack. The two teenagers have been charged and remanded in custody.

Police are continuing to investigate the incident and are carrying out inquiries locally as try and ascertain the whereabouts of the other two suspects.

They forgot to report she was stabbed four times before she was dumped down the embankment. This happened about 15 kilometres from where we live.

According to the wife there's going to be a good sized lynch mob for the crime re-enactment and too few police.

The term ''friends'' is bandied around quite freely here in Thailand and seems to include many of the population.

I am proud to admit to having no friends who have or would committ such acts. I would not want to be exposed to the enemies

of these 2 casultaties if they consider those responsible as ''friends''

...group of friends.....flirting with his sister..........murder and rape......

....if this is not insane I do not know what is.......

'Group of friends..'

Friends like that who needs enemies. Death sentence for them they deserve no less or give them to the families of the boy and the girl then leave them to it.

A post containing a tiresome Burmese trolling comment has been removed as well as the inflammatory replies pointing out the absurdity of continuing with that style of trolling.

To coin a hackneyed phrase: with 'friends' like these, who needs enemies.

The murder and rape is horrendous...

And so to is their lame excuse for doing it...

Hear, hear! All too often the cause for the most horrendous of crimes is to use the old excuse that the perpetrators were under the influence of drugs/alcohol at the time, and that "they should not be punished for their crimes - they need help." To this I say B**l S**t!

Maybe I'm being a bit old fashioned, but nobody forced THEM to stick a needle in their arm, or forced them to smoke whatever it is that turns them into monsters. They don't need help - they need a bit of attitude adjustment of the most severe kind that would leave other drug addicts in no doubt what the consequences will be for rape and murder.

FRIENDS

Yes you are correct the word is thrown around very freely and not only in Thailand but worldwide.

When I was growing up and using the word friend once to often my father got me to sit down to explain.

He told me;

When you die you will have found out that if you have had as many friends as the fingers on one hand you are an exceptional person.

But you will find out that it will be less than the fingers on one hand, probably one or two at the outmost three.

The rest of them amounted to nothing more than AQUANTANCES. Now remember that.

For the last eighty years I have remembered that very well and practically never use the word friend and so far I have had ONLY three (3) FRIENDS, all three deceased now. So I now have no friends, several acquaintances but no friends.

Aaaand again we have something to blame it on - Krathom leaves this time... Saying this just because a Thai would never do such terrible things, at least not if he is sober. Anyone who thinks otherwise is a Thai basher and should receive two weeks of attitude adjustment.

If I were the father of that poor girl, there would have been four additional shallow graves in that forest, while the BIB could have continued playing Candy Crush.

Horrific, the death penalty should teach them a lesson. Leave it to the lynch mob.

actually i think you are quite right, rationally such a fate, being lynched to death would be a far greater deterrent

than anything the thai authorities could do

Sad story.
Estimate the 17-19 year-old murderers have seen too much of the spastic TV soaps, coupled with their extremely low IQs.
Best to give the grieving family members baseball bats and a
sports hall to maintain justice.

They also allegedly claimed not be in control of their of actions after taking kratom leaves prior to carrying out the attack. - But they were compos mentis enough to lure the couple into a forest, which means the attack was planned before hand.

How absolutely horrendous, just a bunch of savages, a condition where humans cross the line to become vermin that should also be eradicated.

That solution works for me. thumbsup.gif

According to my Phattalung gf there were 8 culprits. After learning the girl survived some went to the hospital to finish the job, but they couldn't get into the ICU section.

If they are fortunate to survive the next few weeks....EXECUTE THEM!

Personally I believe they should be stuck in prison for life... Where the authorities weld manacles to the convicted, never to be removed.... And at 18 or 19 years old, a long time to suffer

If I was in their position, I would ask to be executed to avoid the above... bugger that for a game of soldiers!

Police protection asked for a rape victim
0102005-wpcf_728x409.jpg
PHATTHALUNG:-- Relatives of a young woman who survived a murder attempt with serious injuries have asked for police protection for the victim after a group of strangers went to the hospital where she was treated to look for her.
The victim was raped and assaulted by a group of young men who later dumped her into a ravine at Khao Pabpa in Phatthalung province believing that she was already dead. Sustaining knife wounds, she managed to crawl her way out of the ravine and asked for help.
But her boyfriend was not as lucky. He was killed and his body buried in the bushes by the gang to cover up the crime.
The victim’s relatives reported that five strangers showed up at the hospital in Phatthalung on Sunday night to look for the victim but hospital officials sent them away. They said they were concerned with the safety of the victim and demanded the victim to be moved to another ward and provided with police protection.
Srinakharind district officer Mr Pornchai Soksome visited the victim on Monday and asked the police to arrange for some policemen to guard the victim.
Meanwhile, two suspects turned themselves in to police at Langsuan police station in Chumporn province. Police are looking for three other suspects, including a woman, who were believed to be involved in the crime.

"Attitude adjustment for anyone who thinks otherwise !"

Posted directly from North Korea I'd say.

In the name of free speech.

May the guy RIP.

The young girl be complimented on her bravery.

The Thai government encouraged to administer open and transparent justice, and the perpetrators get their just rewards.
