Phone Call From Acorn... Free Dinner At Radison

Featured Replies

I received a call from 021072547 from someone named Paul working for a company called Acorn something asking me if I received their invitation for a free dinner at the Radison. When I replied with no, he offered me other dates for the dinner.

I tried to get more info about what this was about, how he got my number etc but couldn't and eventually hung up on him. Does anyone have info on what this is about? Is it some sort scam? High pressure sales?

Site looks legit, they can probably double my savings in 6 months i bet.

go for dinner,, listen to whatever will they say,, look around and socialize yourself,, then take a taxi, or just drive back home!

what will you lose? depends on your availability,,

if they invite you,, plz send an open invitation to here,, let's join !! hahah

Apart from that website being utter sh1t....not one name of a "real person" on it....

Go and take the pi$$ with the free dinner/booze...then run away...fast.

Probably laying on a very mediocre buffet as a backdrop to the hard sell. A good alternative, the eatigo app often gives 50% off at the Radisson. Do that twice and you've got one free dinner!

No address or phone number either. Just another illegal, unregistered financial advisor.

The free dinner, however good it is, will never be worth the hassle that you'll get from the undesirables who will quiz you on the night and then pester you with never ending follow-up calls.

Good to know they don't cold call.. google if you can be bothered, the following sentence...

One thing is certain you won’t be getting any cold calls from Acorn, which is a great start.
