National Reform Steering Assembly to deliberate draft charter during Feb 8-9

Kitti Cheevasittiyanon

BANGKOK, 5 February 2016 (NNT) – The National Reform Steering Assembly will hold a two-day session to deliberate the draft constitution next week before submitting their opinions to the charter drafters later.

NRSA Whip spokesman Kamnoon Sidhisamarn said that members of the reform assembly are scheduled to deliberate the draft charter on February 8 and 9 and the session will start with the committee on political affairs, which will have two hours to discuss their opinions

Mr. Kamnoon said that the deliberation of the draft charter will then be followed by representatives of the committee on the government and public administration which will have one and a half hours to share their views.

He added that other committees will each be allocated an hour for deliberation while the chairman of every committee will separately be given 20 minutes to present their suggestions.

The NRSA Whip spokesman went on to say that the topics of deliberation will be picked by each committee to make it easier to compile all ideas.

The NRSA will present all ideas and suggestions to the CDC on February 15, Mr. Kamnoon said.

and the article only addresses one of the faults of this draft turd, the suppression of a broad swath of citizen rights.

It's amazing how bad this draft smells.

While not covering ALL the problems with Meechai's incomplete draft, the analyses of the ones it addresses are profound and should be quite disturbing to Thais who read it.

The Prayut government will use all the resources taxpayer money can buy, the Five TRivrrs and its cut-out surrogates to drill acceptance of Meechai's constitution into the populace. Only social media can counter balance the junta's propoganda war to make the referendum NCPO's Winter of Discontent.
