Need Help (About 90 days Visa)

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I'm a newbie in this forum and I have lived in Bangkok for just 1 months. I can't speak Thai and English languages, I got a non-immigrant Visa (1 year) for study in both languages at a A school. The A school told me : every 90days, I need to extend my visa with fee is 1,900 Bath.

But when my classmate's visa expired, the A school told my friend "fee for visa extension was 1,900 Bath for 2 months and go to extend your visa by your self, and if you want 90days visa, fee is 3,500 Bath and the school go to Immigration office with you".

So, I want to ask all member in this forum : Did my school tell true ? If the school told true, I didn't have nothing to ask.

But if my school told wrong , Can anyone in this forum can explain/help to me ? ( How much for 90 days visa ?
What do I need for visa extension ? Can I do it online ? )

I read on http://www.immigration.go.th , fee for 90days visa is only 1,900 Bath, and can do it online.

Hope someone can help me.

Thanks.

If you have a one year visa no extensions are required.

All you need do is leave the country every 90 days and return to be given another 90 day stay.

Are you sure that you have a one year visa ?

I think the shool told me that when I paid tuition for one year, but my visa will expire soon (teacher told my visa expried at 7/4/2016 )And my English is too bad ( hear and speak sad.png ) I think I had only 90 days visa for education and I dont believe my school.

Thank All.

If you entered the country with a single entry ED visa the the only way of extending your stay is to apply, in person, for an "extension of stay" at the immigration office.

To do this you will need supporting paperwork from the school.

The cost of an extension of stay is 1900 Bht.

It is easy to check what is in your passport. Look for the "enter before date" (also the expiry date) marked clearly on your visa.

the fee for the extension is 1900 baht. The additional 1600 baht is for the school to facilitate your extension application so that you will get 90 days instead of 60 days you would get if you were doing it yourself.

Extensions cannot be done online. You are confusing doing a report of staying over 90 days with extensions.
