Aussie69
Can an expat on O-visa have a term deposit account (earning interest), or is this considered income?
KhunBENQ
Term deposit in Thailand? Yes. I had and have multiple of those and used the accounts for extension at immigration. Even got tax returned last year. Easy process at Thai revenue service.

KhunBENQ
And of course it's not just me using a fixed term deposit for purposes at Thai immigration (and some just for interest). Many other reports in the forum. Currently rates are not overwhelming though

If there was a TV award for understatement of the year, this would be up there in the final three.
Aussie69
Thanks for the replies. I can see rates on their sites, I just wasn't sure if I could have term due to earning interest.
