Reform body says will help CDC every way it can

Thammarat Thadaphrom

BANGKOK, 21 February 2016 (NNT) – A deputy speaker of the National Reform Steering Assembly (NRSA) says the reform body is willing to assist the Constitution Drafting Commission (CDC) if asked.

First deputy speaker of the NRSA Alongkorn Ponlaboot said he believed the charter drafting team is open to input from all sides and will make appropriate adjustments to the draft constitution.

On behalf of the NRSA, he expressed his willingness to assist the CDC on every matter while denying the allegation that the reform assembly is trying to put pressure on the CDC.

He said all of the suggestions the NRSA submitted to the drafting team had been picked out deliberately so that the permanent charter complies with the country’s reform plans.

Way too many cooks in the kitchen. Things are not looking good for the diners.

It's nice to see the junta-appointed 451-member Five Rivers (11-member CDC, 200-member NLA, 6-member NCPO, 200-member NRSA and 34-member Cabinet)1 are cooperating with each to deliver a draft charter. That only leaves 48 million registered voters who have not yet been allowed to decide on what charter they'll accept.
