Been trying various places, Chinatown etc looking for felt. No joy.

Anyone have a lead on where to buy some felt material ?

'Chiang Mai Plastics' sell it in their sewing/crafts department.

Fabric shops around Kad Luang have big rolls of felt. Sorry I can't be more specific. Wander around the streets and you should stumble across one. I used to know someone who bought felt in that area and they made key rings with it .

Both of the above are correct - Chiang Mai Plastics has squares about 30cm or 12 inches and the fabric shops have rolls of heavier duty felt, but the quality of both isn't fantastic. Try the fabric shops with furniture covering fabric rather than just dress and shirt fabric.

You're right - I was thinking about some I bought in UK. Smaller but much thicker.
