"less My Heart"

Featured Replies

Well, I had a little misunderstanding with my sweetie and she left me a note with "less my heart" (in English) on the end. I'll ask her what she meant, of course...but I'm thinking she must be trying to use one of the many "jai" words, like "jainoi" or "noijai" or something like that. Anybody have an idea of what Thai term she's trying to convey, and if so, how could you put it into somewhat understandable English?

Oh yeah--another phrase was "I'm sorry make you bustling existence." She must have found these words in a dictionary. Any idea what she was trying to say?

Thanks,

DP

I am not so good at analyzing Thaiglish since I speak Thai with my wife, so take the following with a pinch of salt:

In the second case, I guess she was trying to say "Sorry for stressing you out".

As for the first one... Perhaps "noijai" (I feel slighted.)...?

I'm in the same situation as meadish (I speak Thai at home), but I'll express solidarity and say those would be my guesses, too.

Not so sure about the first one, but I'm confident about the second one. It's a very literal translation of ขอโทษทำให้ชีวิตยุ่ง [kho thoot tham hai chiiwit yung]. You might also render it "sorry for complicating (your) life," assuming that's what the original intended phrase was.
