Drove a hire one in Ko Saumi....words fail to describe what i thought of it, the TGF wasn't to impressed either when she took it for a spin, nope not one thing i liked about it, not one.

But it is a couple of hundred k cheaper than the Everest, so an absolute steal rolleyes.gif

I had a test drive when making my choice of new SUV. Pus points were; comfort, lots of kit and very keenly priced (300K less than Everest). Negative points for me were; handling and it handled like a giant sofa and looks (although they are subjective). For someone that just wants an SUV to get from A to B it's a bargain.

Please tell us what was so bad, I drove one and was quite impressed, just a bit soft on the springs? much better than the new fortuna.

Slow when Fortuner and Everest.

Bad handling , even more bad than previose PJS.

Previose PJS its be for hard work on midle and litle up midle offroad even can go same place as prado 120.

About NEW PJS i am not sure and Thailand Road its not Myanma, Laos, Russia and etc.

So nit realy se reason buy PJS .

If want keep money why not buy any pick up or sedan?

If not money matter why not Everest?

My old PJS is great, handles very well and does everything I want, plus a very well designed 3 rd seat layout, new one very nice but maybe a bit soft, I would never buy a ford here as the dealer network is hopeless and they have no idea, also servicing costs are a complete rip off from what I have heard from friends and neighbours, parts are also expensive compared to the others, and the second hand values of fords here drop like a brick. and for me the new everest looks very old fashioned and dated.

I thought it big and cumbersome, felt low powered, driving seat uncomfortable steering wheel couldn't get into a good position and heavy or stiff to turn, tgf don't like to drive it either, nothing against the brand I've owned one of there sedans in the past and was happy, it really drove like a truck to me and I have driven a truck before.

if need 3rd seats need look some minibus or minivan.

What you mean "handles very well" ?

well for what speed and what type road?

For offroad its good. but for speed roadblink.png ...

Ps

I had PJS 2007 and 2010 its not best car for drive on road. but its very good car for offroad .. its be good bilding work horses for offrroad or bad road(way)smile.png for small money..

"and the second hand values of fords here drop like a brick"

1.Never See NEW everest second hand.

2. Have times in many place our planet ALL japan brand second hand values drop fast more then ford here. but time some times change .

3. I buy my Fortuner for reason fast sell and not lost much volues second hand...I have a hundred times regretted my decision.
