March 5, 201610 yr I came in on a SETV, did 1 month on that and now have a 3 month Ed visa. When do I start the 90 day reporting? From the first date I entered Thailand (on the SETV), or from the date of the Ed visa? I will be extending the Ed visa for a year after the 3 months. Immigration didn't say anything, so if anyone knows, would be great.
March 5, 201610 yr When you apply for the extension of stay it will count as your 90 day report. So nothing to do between now and then. When you are granted the 1 year extension they will give you your first report date which will be 90 days after the application date.
March 5, 201610 yr You as yet are not required to make 90 day reports. Unless you are undertaking a university course a one year extension of the Ed Visa stay is unlikely. If you do obtain a one year extension then 90 day reports are required every 90 days from the date the extension is issued.

At the moment he does not have permission to stay over 90 days, therefore, he does not need to make a report. If he stays over 90 days he has overstayed and simply required to leave the country. Once he applies for his 1 year extension of stay the 90 day clock starts and he has to report every 90 days thereafter. The first report date will be given to him by the IO when his extension has been granted. Notification of staying in the Kingdom over 90 days Procedure and notification 5.
