BANGKOK, 6 March 2016 (NNT) - The National Legislative Assembly is scheduled to hold a sitting to deliberate the amendment of the interim charter to pave the way for the public referendum.

NLA President Pornpetch Wichitcholchai has issued an order to call for sittings on March 10 and 11 to discuss various issues, including the deliberation of the amended 2014 Provisional Constitution, which was proposed by the Cabinet and the National Council for Peace and Order.

The NLA will also consider the setting up of a committee to verify background as well as behavioral and ethical records of all who are nominated to be qualified members of the Anti-Money Laundering Board, and the deliberation of the draft amendment of the Minerals Act, which was submitted by the Cabinet.

Other agendas to be brought up include the questioning of the Prime Minister about the measures to prevent and tackle fire accidents at any high-rise building and the review of a report on the measures to protect and uphold the Royal Institution.
