jpinx
Am I correct in thinking that one is forced into an overnight stopover in Manila? If I'm right - anyone got any pointers for a clean budget hotel? Thanks can't edit my typo in the title

So, choosing an earlier connecting flight may be a problem.
arunsakda
There is a security check line to just get into the terminal that can be 30 minutes easy. The worst airport in the region. If you overnight whatever you do do not stay at the Crosswinds Ocean hotel like I once got suckered into. Check Trip Advisor. Reviews so bad they are comical, and all true. It used to be called "Crosswinds Inn" or something like that. They changed the name. Worst place I ever stayed (and I was double charged). A den of the lowest of the low western farang scum and rubbish shacked up with skanks and unfortunate travelers to be fleeced. Jacked up by arrival info desk at MNL airport. grumpyoldman
Cebu Pacific has a 12:30AM flight that puts you in at 5:00AM. Sleep on the flight and then get an AM flight to Cebu. This is the route I went for Boracay.
