theguyfromanotherforum
I always wanted to retire in Japan, but it would not be affordable for me. However, I am starting to think Japan could be very boring after a while. I heard it is very difficult to have any kind of social life. So, I am starting to think Thailand is not bad after all. But in all honesty, with 10 million I would probably move back to Canada. Edited March 7, 2016 by theguyfromanotherforum
HampiK
I am guessing you talk about 10 Million $, € or something and not Baht.. Hmmmm with this amount, I am really not sure if I would stay in my Homecountry or still would move to some Asian country for retirement.... But because I not have that much money I not need to think too much about it....
slipperylobster
Cuba is opening up to US travelers...I would look there, and possibly Puerto Rico. Greece, Portugal or Spain...would be great...with that amount of money. Chile or Ecuador...fine for me...as well. Not Hawaii..and not Japan. balo
I would probably retire as far away from Thailand as possible and just come on visit here occasionally . Maybe retire in sunny Spain since I can afford it.
swissie
10 mil US dollars You would retire in your home country, but travel frequently as the mood strikes. Always happy to return to your home country after having spent some time in places that we mistakenly call Tropical-Paradises. People with 10 million in form of hard currency do not retire in Pattaya. Cheers.

KNJ
Without a doubt Japan, 2 million for an apartment in Tokyo, 8 to live off, more than doable. Socialising is easy. I Arrived with a suitcase left 4 years later with a wife
