pedro01
I just spotted a post on a Facebook group I am on.... I'm getting so fed up with TRUE internet, I'm considering to shift to ToT Fiber 2U. I got 30 Mbps now, but got so many problems with the connection. Mostly ping timeouts (service dropouts/resets) almost every hour. They changed my modem already ones to a proper Cisco type, but this didn't help. I heard more people are complaining about this. So is this a TRUE issue?I live around Central Rama 9. Any reliable reviews about ToT Fiber from anyone around this area? Or other options for me to check out?Just want te be sure, before I change the whole thing. Thanks. Funny thing is - I've been suffering from this for about 4 weeks. Service is generally good but it'll drop out. Sometimes 6 times an hour and most of the time, I lose the connection for around 60-90 seconds (I Use Net Uptime monitor). First thing I notice is the internet dies, then after about 20 seconds, the "online" light on the routergoes off, the DS & US lights go off and then these three lights come back green after a short while. I've had them out here 5 times already and they even replaced the Humax router. I've even got it hooked up to a laptop now that has no email, skype, dropbox or anything much on it - just to monitor it. I tried with the wifi off and on and with the router firewall off & on but it just keeps going up and down. Just this morning 10:19:59 - down for 1m 34s 10:51:46 - down 1:29 10:53:47 - down 1:17 13:50:35 - down 54s This is problematic as I do webinars and use skype a lot and these disconnects are a killer. I've since installed 3BB fiber but it's not as fast as True (although I'm having it upgraded to 50/5). Having a backup isn't bad and I do have a load balancing router but that really only helps if both connections stay up. I was wondering if anyone else has this (True say its just me) or if it's common. I've been with True at this address for 4 years now and it's only in the past 4 weeks I've had issues. trd
There is obviously something wrong as my connection with copper wire strung over the trees with ants in the connection box in the garden, remains up 99.9999% of the time.
jacky54
Get this for a few weeks now, they changed the router as well, just the same, it does not reconnect so I have to keep doing so. Sometimes every few minutes, other times it will be ok for an hour or two. OS 8.1, I wonder if it might be that as it's pretty awful all round? and not noticed any drop off on phones Edited March 10, 2016 by jacky54
