March 14, 201610 yr My friend has lost his departure card. What's the procedure to follow? When doing a transfer of stamps from old to new passport at Jomtien, is it done immediately or do you have to return the next day?
March 15, 201610 yr No response? He just lost his departure card and not his passport? In that case he just goes to immigration and asks for a new departure card, fill out and get the arrival stamp for the original entry. Not really a "transfer" but a new issue. He might be asked to show a police report about the loss. But probably not.
March 15, 201610 yr I usually write the TM # of the card in my passport, having the number makes it easier for Immigration to look it up in their database and issue a replacement. Mac

I am debating whether to transfer retirement extension over to new passport soon, or to wait until I do my retirement extension on 5th April. Ubonjoe has said it can be done at the same time. Its just that I don't want to run the risk of confusing immigration.
