Public Relations Department affirms commitment to ASEAN connectivity

BANGKOK, 16 March 2016 (NNT) - The Deputy Director-General of the Public Relations Department (PRD) has affirmed Thailand’s readiness to cooperate with other ASEAN member-countries.

Thailand continues to develop all forms of digital media for the purpose of providing effective information to the public according to the ASEAN master plan of connectivity and unity.

PRD Deputy Director-General Charoon Chaisorn represented the country during the 14th Senior Officials Responsible for Information (SOMRI) meeting in Cebu of the Philippines. During the summit, he urged member-nations to swiftly develop its communication capabilities according to the ASEAN master plan by creating social media channels for easy access and raise awareness among youths on ASEAN cooperation.

He affirmed that Thailand’s PRD places great importance on developing all forms in information channels to further realize the master plan.

Thailand has done everything in it's power, and continues to do everything it can, to obstruct ASEAN. It signs treaties, and then ignores nearly every aspect of free trade, lowering duty tariffs, making the process of hiring foreign workers from other ASEAN nations simpler, and more efficient, and less expensive. There are countless examples of this, over the years. It seems someone, somewhere might have good intentions, when the treaty is signed, but then the lobbyists start paying off the parliamentarians and it all goes away.

Only exception: Use of foreign vehicles on Thailand's roads.
