Wondering why is the Thai Traffic Police Department allows on duty Traffic Police on duty in the DAY for road block checks (a good thing) but why they are all "cover up" Helmet, Dark Glasses, Full Mask, Reflective Jackets (for Night wear) but wearing in the DAY covering their NAME Tags Totally unidentifiable. It look like they are hiding their identity.

Why! does the Traffic Police Office allows this.

We all perhaps know why they hid their identity.

Why do you want to know that, is it important?

Why do you ask why? is this Restricted Forum??? or are you... OOP's.....I think you are!

I just wish they would make their hand signals a bit clearer. The difference between slow down and stop and waving me through seems, from my experience minimal. I never really look at their name tags, just their hands.

you're really asking this question?

You do realize that to become a Thai police officer you need to pay some serious money?

I got another one for you. Why do bank robbers, thieves, and murderers in Thailand always wear a full faced motorbike helmet whilst in the act?

If you need to see their faces or know who they are; find your nearest Thai restaurant or pub and each evening you'll find them slouching around a table with a bottle of 100 or Hong Thong on display (maybe even Johnny if fines have been flowing). They will make no effort whatsoever to hide their status in this situation.
