DinoSabanovic
I have a question about Tonsillectomy for my wife. How much are Thai rates, can she do in Korat and what hospital would be best and will she have problems after since she is 36 year old? It is very annoying because she is getting sick very often. Before 6 years she had to stay in hospital 7 days and pay 20000 thb for it. Luckily she had insurance to cover it. Thanks in advance.
Sheryl
As a Thai, she has access to free health care at the government hospital which serves the locality where she is listed in a tabien ban. If that is a hospital which doesn't have surgical capacity, they will refer her to a higher level, and that will also be free. this assumes of course that the doctors agree a tonsillectomy is needed. The main provincial hospital in Korat is good - it is a regional facility.
bkkbudddy
Hello, When you select the hospital, make sure they have coblation technology for tonsillectomy, I had it done about 11 years ago in Hawaii and coblation made the procedure least painful!
