Pa-sah Rao? Northern Thai?

Featured Replies

Where I am [north central] they refer to the local language as "pah-sah rao" which almost sounds like Lao as in Laotian, but that is not it.

I do not know if that is Rao as in "We" or "Our" or a different word or meaning? Also, is that Northern or a dialect of Northern Thai?

Thanks.

wai2.gif it reminds me when I was in northern thailand They like to compare their words with central thai คำเมืองไม่เหมือนคำไทย
Yes It is "Our language" they are trying to say their dialect You are very smart

In Chiang Rai they call it Kam Muang and not Kham Muang.
