The footage, showing a group of people taking part in explicit acts under the guise of 'yoga', originally raised eyebrows and concerns as it was initially reported to be filmed on Koh Pha Ngan, an island in Southern Thailand. But the district chief of Koh Pha Ngan, Noppadon Khaomali, has put the rumours to bed, stating that the viral video was actually shot on the sun-kissed island of Bali, Indonesia, not Thailand as initially thought. The video portrays three non-Thai couples in compromising situations. Netizens widely speculate that their 'special yoga' is more of an intimate pursuit than a typical health-centric yoga session. The outcry from the public was rapid, with many demanding an immediate probe into the video, questioning its ethical stance. Some folks even called for swift action against the supposed business at the centre of this controversy. Despite the awkward undertones of the video, there were a handful of individuals who looked at the footage in a different light, stating it was a representation of sexual yoga, a legitimate practice known as tantric sex. They believe that this form of yoga offers much more than just physical benefits, including mental liberation, spiritual connection and self-awareness. However, the district chief, Mr. Noppadon, reassured the public that it wasn't a case of questionable activities taking place under their noses. He revealed that an in-depth analysis of the video indicated it was filmed in Bali, not Thailand. In addition to this, Mr. Noppadon showed local reporters a social media account believed to be linked to one of the individuals in the video. The account, although private, contained similar content purportedly filmed in Bali. Closing his remarks, Mr. Noppadon stated that authorities on Koh Pha Ngan are vigilantly keeping tabs on the actions of foreigners in their vicinity. Thailand is so caught up on what is perceived instead of what is really happening that the video caught the attention of people who had never seen this before to question it. Show them a video of beach road in the evening or late night or inside a gogo bar and they would not bat an eye. The same for a music show where the singer gyrates in a sexual motion.
