Sorry one more question.We are trying to find out if he has a warrent for his arrest will find out soon.It is something minor.But id like to ask if a warrent is issued by the court for something small is that information passed on to all exit points around thailand.Will it effect him getting a visa.I must stress its minor

I cannot answer whether it applies to all warrants. However, if applied at all, the border used will be irrelevant. It goes into the computer system used by immigration everywhere. All exit points used by foreigners have this system.

Chances are very good he will not be allowed to leave and be arrested when trying to leave the country.

Yes, he will be detained as his goes through immigration, I've also never heard of people being arrested for minor things.

Probably if the op had given more detail of offence the advice would be more accurate. Sounds like he wasn't actually arrested.

Not suggesting this is the situation of the op but we all know some people do a runner from hotel or whatever, then wonder if warrant has been issued. All comes down to the "minor offence"
