Deputy PM: Charter revision acceptable

BANGKOK, 25 March 2016 (NNT) – Deputy Prime Minister Wissanu Krea-ngam has acknowledged the newly revised version of the draft constitution, despite some remaining differences from the suggestions submitted by the Four Rivers.

Dr. Wissanu said he spoke with members of the Constitution Drafting Commission (CDC) on the changes made to the draft charter and understood their justifications. The charter drafters have yet to submit a report explaining their decision to the four core organizations, known as the Four Rivers.

The Four Rivers, consisting of the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO), the Cabinet, the National Legislative Assembly (NLA) and the National Reform Steering Assembly (NRSA), earlier asked the CDC to revise some issues. However, the CDC did not comply with all of their requests.

Dr. Wissanu affirmed there would be no dispute between the CDC and the Four Rivers, adding that the Four Rivers had yet to conclude whether they should call another meeting on the draft constitution. Meanwhile, Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Gen Prawit Wongsuwan said the NCPO would not propose any changes to the draft charter, as it respects the CDC’s decision.

Sure the Four Rivers are happy...they got everything they wanted (not to imply that truly improves the proposed charter).

Are you sure that the Four Rivers are still happy ? I don't think they will make it through the Drought. Let's prayer for rain so that the rivers

will supply water to all the poor farmers in Thailand. I also prayer for rain for the lakes. We want lots of water for Songkran.

Meanwhile, Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Gen Prawit Wongsuwan said the NCPO would not propose any changes to the draft charter, as it respects the CDC’s decision.

Now that the CDC Junta-lackeys have done exactly as they were told, the junta will no longer ask for more changes and they "respect" the "decision" of the Junta CDC lackeys...

How gracious can a moronic general be?
