Extension Or New Visa?

Featured Replies

I am travelling on a British passport and have currently made 3 entries to Thailand and at the end of my current visa would have been here for 120 days. I am hoping to stay another 2 months so should I just go back to an embassy and apply for another 2 month visa or just go to Bangkok for 2 30 day visa extensions? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Just come in and get you usual visa exempt stamp from the Airport...........

Then extend that stamp at immigration or do visa run that will give you your 60 days

Remember the new rule is 90 days out of 180 days on the free visa exempt stamp only starting from this october 1 , anything before october 1 doesnt count.

You cannot get 2 -30 day extensions in Thailand. I would go to an Embassy or consulate in the area and get a 60 day tourist visa.

Yeah I thought 2 x30 day extensions might be a problem. I'll go back to Laos and get another 60 days visa! Thanks very much for your help!
