overstay Question

I was asked this Question today.

Can people please advise.

Someone is on a overstay 2 months.They want to clear it.

There idea is to go to Malysia tommorow i do not know what border they will not be flying.They intend to clear there overstay and come back on one month visa.Is that possible will she have problems?

Once she is in Malysia a agent will help her.She can prove she is not working here and she has a couple hundred thousand baht She want to stay one more month here.She is swiss

There are no one month "visas" !

I thought you were the 'expert' on overstay or are you just trying to start another tr*ll topic?

• IF she is allowed to leave by land border to Malaysia I think there is a high chance that she won't be allowed to return immediately using visa exempt entry. And if Swiss she will only get 15 days, extendable by 30 days.
• Getting a single entry tourist visa (SETV) from Penang would be the best option before trying to return.

OP why didn't you advise her to fly with your other friend in your other thread. Being swiss she can fly HCMC, Vietnam. Cheap flight option. She would be given 15 day stamp. Then return los visa exempt stamp. She may be questioned the baht on her will help.

However I doubt she exists

I believe she exists -- I also believe that there are many that, when they see a date stamped 30 days hence in their passport upon arriving at Swampy, the date stamped is merely a suggested date of departure.

IMHO anyone trying to clear an overstay using one of the Southern land border points likes living dangerously. She may need a fair amount of that money she is carrying for bribes. Flying out does not cost much and is so much safer.
