kinmaew
Sometimes it seems Thais forget where their feet are standing, i.e. not in France, when your feet are on Thai soil its just a totally different ball game.
Khun Paul
If he is Thai French, why the hell did he not go back to France, or am I missing something here.
trogers
If he is Thai French, why the hell did he not go back to France, or am I missing something here. He is making more as a star in Thailand then working in 7-11 in France... Needs that Thai ID card to avoid work permits and 90-day reporting... Taco
Must be his emotional French half coming out. Cant wait to see the tears over the food the canteen is serving out.
55Jay
If he is Thai French, why the hell did he not go back to France, or am I missing something here. According to his Wiki age - Thai Father, French Mother. Started music career early on here in Thailand. A trip to New York, but no indication he's ever lived or been to France for any significant amount of time. Certainly cashing in on his Luk Kreung looks in the entertainment industry here. He's got a sister called Sophie, looks like she lives here too.
Nasrullah
He has not got a thing on Gerard Depardieu. Good one......BTW depardieu surrendered his french citizenship for a home in russia.... Didn't he have a nasty little habit of pissing on the floor in airplanes? indeed......once on a plane from paris to dublin......in fairness to him.....he was so excited to leave france! also punched a french motorist in paris...........papparazzi possibly........we'll give him the benefit of the doubt fell off a scooter too while nearly 4 times over drink limit.........he'd go alright in pattaya me thinks! all in all.........I like the guy
Prbkk
Poor little boy. If it's good enough for Elvis Presley, it's good enough for this guy. Yes but Elvis was poor white trash from Tennessee, albeit with a couple of hit records. If it were back now would Brad Pitt or Leonado DeCapricio have to do it? thai3
Wow. He's handsome! Thank you for making me laugh. Back in France it would be considered a regular salt-of-the-earth peasantface. Total B.S. French men in general aren't all that attractive. To women, or men? Not heard the ladies complaining He's no way a 'super star' of course

Gay men are much better judges than woman of MALE beauty. Males are more visual. (Dumpy looking straight guys with other qualities, consider that a blessing.) I am talking about more "nativist" French men. Look at the famous French "art" director Cadinot. He focused so much on North African Arab men. There's a clue. As a very rough generality with of course massive numbers of exceptions, some nationalities of men are simply more visually attractive. For example, Spanish men more than French men. British men, as a generality, nothing to write home about either. There is also the kind of silly conflating of French stuff with sexiness in Anglo cultures. Ooh La La! Not sure where that comes from (marketing?) but in France a French kiss is just a kiss. Edited April 6, 2016 by Jingthing
cgphuket
It did not do Elvis any harm. Was not that where he started his drug abuse? not to mention a 15 year old girlfriend Yep. See? Only good things came from it.

Well, without getting into the matter of gay French porn it is true, I believe, that opposites do attract: so dark will appeal to light and vv....as a gross ovesimplication. That is one reason why so many foreigners are mystified by the obsession with whitening creams with Thai women: classic case of the "before" being better than the "after" This French/Thai boy is quite good looking but only because he is mixed race. On the other hand his music is unusually awful.
Nasrullah
ted me Poor little boy. If it's good enough for Elvis Presley, it's good enough for this guy. Yes but Elvis was poor white trash from Tennessee, albeit with a couple of hit records. If it were back now would Brad Pitt or Leonado DeCapricio have to do it? ahh yes.....people living in the past thinking patriotic duty is sooo patriotic!.....more like draconian and slaverish! leo and brad certainly wouldn't do it.And i don't blame them.If they wanted me,they would be told in no-uncertain terms. This thai kid obviously feels it will hinder his career.... elvis was a different time.......but i must say i'm sure it helped his career. Not the same now! Sydebolle
Not quite clear if that works. Certain countries prohibit their nationals to do military service under any other flag; Switzerland is one of them. Alternatively I am sure that the sunny boy can hand over his red ticket to any of those unemployed boys from the Northeast where they are queueing for two years of fun and games. tubby johnson
Bullying in the Thai army... The videos below of Thai soldiers, were doing the rounds on Thai Facebook 3 years ago. In the first video, the poster says he doesn't know what the soldier was being punished for. The 2nd video was apparently sparked by the soldiers being caught smoking and refusing to admit to it when confronted. Third video, well..don't really know what to say. 1. www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=543395739037729 2. www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=544534028923900 3. http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=435_1370940179 There's also the sad story of Thai conscript Wichen Puaksom from 2011, who deserted, and was punished by being beasted and beaten to death by fellow soldiers. That third video ..... holy crap! The Thai army's got its own crack regiment of starfish troopers.
arunsakda
Right now US/Thai relations are what they are but I just had a crazy idea What if LGBTQ Thais could be forced to serve 2 years in the US military on an exchange program where they would be welcomed to serve openly and make the best of their skills and abilities in an enviromment without discrimination. In return they could find an equal number of US troops to spend 2 years in Thailand doing whatever they would be needed to do here in SE ASIA, training, fighting drugs, combatting Terrorism, etc. Edited April 6, 2016 by arunsakda
Praematura
Waste of resources to maintain this 19th century feudalism. No wonder Thailand is fast becoming the backwater of SE Asia. Who does Thailand fear that it needs submarines and conscription. Reality is this system is virtual slavery for the brass. There's an article last year on the Bangkok Post about a draftee that ran away because after he was drafted he was made an Admirals house boy.
