Hey guys, I've been reading some posts from the past and would like to ask about the situation in 2016.

We are coming to Koh Samui in the next 3-4 months, we would like to buy a company with 2 work permits and change all the details to our names. We are going to buy a small restaurant somewhere in Chaweng (probably Chaweng road). We gonna need a concession for some beer, wine and cocktails.

I would like to ask you for some recommendations, as we gonna need a lawyer and accountant. From what I've noticed, there are some offices which offer both legal and accounting services. Is it a good idea to choose any of them? Or is it better to have a separate lawayer and accountant?

I found a lot of reccomendations for Ingon Accurate Accounting. Could any of you send me some details, how to contact that lady? Could you also recommend me a good lawyer?

Thanks in advance!

I would recommend Suthep in Maenam. Heading towards Nathon he is on the left before the bend out of town. Not the cheapest nor the quickest but gets what you want done if you follow wink.png

Do you have any contact details, like phone number? Is he lawyer only or does he go with accounting as well?

Use lawyer and accounting from same company, much cheaper.

In Chaweng, Lek lawyer and accounting left side coming from Tesco to Makro.

Thanks! So could you tell me a little bit more, do you have a long experience with Lek lawyer? It doesn't have to be very cheap for me, I would like it to be done well, so I can just focus on the restaurant. Would appreciate any more insight.

Suthep for accounting, never missed a beat for me, used him consistently for 18 years, tells you like it is. He doesn't take any prisoners. However, I always use Khun Pyamas for contracts and anything land office related, by far and away the best in the South. She is located directly opposite Maenam post office.

Are we allowed to give phone number/contact details on here? Can't remember.......

I used Crawshaws Samui (you can find their website with Google, not sure if I can link) for my company – very professional and fast service at reasonable price; and Hong Kong-British lawyer/partner, Michael Pearth. They can also do accounting, work permit and real estate; and they have certified Thai lawyers. Situated in Bo Phut between Bon Café and PTT Gas Station, opposite The Wharf.

Used him for eight years, you will have to go there once per month to pay your taxes so use one in Chaweng.

Some of these so called lawyers, legal advisors or glorified legal aids mentioned leave a lot to be desired for in work ethics and reputation, others just charge as wounded bulls. No names .
