Work permit renewal cost?

Hi, I have just recently renewed my work permit. I paid another 3.100 baht.

I was told by a friend ,that after my first payment,I didn't have to pay the 3.100 baht to renew every year.

Can anybody confirm if you are required to pay every year for wp renewal?

I have never heard of companies with Board Of Investment privileges getting their work permits for free. Can you post something confirming that.

They do often get 2 year work permits for a fee of 6000 baht but I think they sill have to pay for a renewal of it.

Don't have paperwork unfortunately, just rely on the cost I was charged by the company who does this for me, first 2y work permit 3,100 (2y visa 1,900 as regular), then every 2y 1,900 for the visa and nothing for the work permit.
