I have BUPA medical insurance and a PA plan from one of the banks. Each insurer has issued me with a plastic card that I should present at the hospital if I need treatment.

But what if I am in a car accident or sudden illness, and unconscious? Perhaps my medical insurance card will be overlooked and I end up dying in a government hospital for lack of adequate care.

I do carry the cards with me, but since each insurer only provides one card, it could easily be overlooked.

Do any of the insurance companies provide wrist bracelets that carry the insurance details? That would seem to be a good idea, (I will maybe make up my own bracelet with my insurance details).
