We had five minutes of hail a week ago Saturday, around 3pm. This was in the Ched Yot area.

Hailstones were about 1/4" - 1/2" in diameter.

Well remembered it was at exactly 3pm i was on the bike riding in for a beer appointment and was late because i had to stop.

The pain of those hailstones caused me to stop and take cover.

Like some kid throwing his bag of "bollies" at yer......(marbles)

Gosh, you are probably right. I should have said 1/4" - 3/8"... cheesy.gif

Did someone spit in your coffee this morning or are you always like this?

(Only in ThaiVisa could someone argue about the size of hailstone... Unbelievable! rolleyes.gif )

Yes, the hail was pretty cool (whatever size it was), but I sure would enjoy a good downpour to clear up this air. Rumor has it that there's some kind of temple on top of Doi Suthep.

Yes, I was in McCormick hospital and watched the freaky hail out of the window. Later my wife told me some people were down in casualty with minor injuries having been hit with the hail.

Didn't know they made the standard measuring device, the golfball, that size. Edited by mankondang

It's my fault, really. Thinking back on the situation, they may actually have been 13/32" or 29/64"

Unfortunately, I didn't have a caliper with me.

I would have said 'golf ball' size but then we can be sure a ThaiVisa poster would have demanded proof of brand and date of purchase...
