Hi

I searched everywhere i couldn't find any information that's why i open this new topic

Every year i extend my visa easily but this year i forgot to deposit 400,000 in time ,now i only have about 20 days left to my visa expiry so is there any temporary extension that i can do to cover 2 months money deposit in bank?

If yes so i need to provide those documents same as normal extension?

If no what can i do?

Thanks

  • Yes, you can apply for a 60 day extension of stay to visit your wife, 1,900 baht.

Same paperwork except you don't need to provide any financial information.

You can apply for the 1 year extension towards the end of the 60 days once the money has been in your account for 2 months.

Wow.Unbelievable!

I was going to start a thread on exactley the same thing.

A friend's 1 year marriage extension finishes in June but he doesn't want another year, just a couple of months.

So he can go to immigration and extend his 1 year marriage extension for 60 days?

Is 7 days before the 1 year extension expires OK, to apply for the 60 day extension?

Thanks.

You guys are great. 8-)

Not much paperwork when compared to the one year extension. Wife, marriage certificate plus a copy, copies of her house book registration, ID card and proof of residence if not living where her house book is for.

I was also asked to provide a copy of Kor ror 22 at Surat thani immigration for a 60 day extension.

They may of wanted the Kor Ror 22 to prove you had registered your foreign marriage at an Amphoe.

Most offices would not ask for it but Surat Thani immigration has been reported as coming up with some odd requirements.

It is staffed entirely by women.

I did my annual extension of stay based on Thai Wife, on Wednesday 20th April at Phitsanulok Immigration Office. I arrived at 08.30 and encountered one English gentleman and half a dozen Burmese. 10 minutes later they all had finished and my wife and I were beckoned over to the right hand of two desks.

I had made a particular effort to have everything in order, with copies of all relevant and required papers. I have been married twelve years and still have the original Bang Rak Marriage Certificate and Kor Ror 2 form. I provided plenty of photos of which he chose two. He did ask for the original letter from the Canadian Embassy in Bangkok regarding income which I happened to have with me.. He stamped every page of two sets and I had to write my full name out on each stamp.

There were no other forms of any kind to sign or read. I asked about the 1 year old TM28 stapled in the back of my passport and he said it is only required if you move residence. We were out of there at 09.45 with a stamp "under consideration return June 10".

I was the only foreigner in the office for the entire time he took to process my application.

He did mention that Phichit, Sukothai and I think Khampaeng Phet may have their own Immigration offices in a year.

All in all a very pleasant experience at an uncrowded office with efficient and friendly staff.

Phitsanulok has to be one of the easiest offices in the country,I never had an issue there in 6 years of using it,ample parking outside usually and the staff albeit one guy are usually very accommodating.

Last time I went a few months back the place was very busy due to a load of Japanese workers making whatever,I had my daughter with me and she had just had an injection at Phitsanuvej hospital literally round the corner, they even allowed us to jump in front of everyone due to my daughters crying.

Sadly I won't be using it anytime soon as I've relocated back to the UK.

Phitsanulok holds a special place in my heart it is my daughters place of birth and holds many happy memories for me.

Who told you this ?

It is, of course, complete and utter nonsense.

It was nonsense to me also ,

But i couldn't clearly understand that he meant i can't have the grantee letter from kadikorn bank located in government complex or i can't use kadikorn bank at all

Who is "he"?

If you have money in the KASIKORN BANK there is no reason why they should deny you a letter.

He is the person that assist me before

How much are you paying him and which bank does he suggest ?

Why not just ask one of the immigration officers for assistance ? You will be given a list which details exactly what is required.
