Look Thung singer will be asked to write a song to boost public interest in draft charter



BANGKOK: -- The Constitution Drafting Committee will seek help from national artist Chinnakorn Krailart, a famous Look Thung (Thai folk song) singer, to write a song which will be used in a campaign to arouse public interest in the draft charter.

Mr Thienchai na Nakhon, a subcommittee member in charge of publicity campaign, said Monday that the CDC planned to stage public forum in different regions as part of the publicity campaign to educate the public about the gist of the draft charter in cooperation with various networks.

Meanwhile, CDC member Supachai Yawaprapat said that there would be two summarized contents of the draft charter – one for the use of officials to educate members of the public and the other which is a summary of 10-20 key issues about the draft is meant for selected groups of people.

Mr Supachai brushed aside professed opposition to the draft charter by groups of lecturers saying that his main concern is to publicize the content of the draft so that the public can understand the gist of the draft.

He admitted that he was not worried with the lecturers’ rejection of the draft but was more concerned with how to make the public understand the draft.

My thoughts exactly. Prayuth is the best songwriter/entertainer Thailand has ever produced all his songs have been embraced by the people and gone straight to number one on the charts where they remain. The people love him and his stuff.

What is sung when a luk thung song is played backwards? The buffalo is dead, the atm is broken and the husband turns gay!
