I have 3 questions regarding this statement.( i am from India)

Bank statement under applicant’s name showing at least 400,000 Rupee in the account for at least 6 consecutive months

1) What do they mean about 6 consec. months? Do I have to have that much money in my account for atleast 6 months?

2) Will they accept if I have the money split into different bank accounts?

3) Will they be ok if I show them the money I had invested into Fixed Deposits in my country(As i don't keep much in savings due to lower interest)

regarding point 3 i believe they want you to show you have easy access to the money, if it is in a fixed rate deposit account i'm not sure they will accept that.

Question 1 is difficult to interpret differently than it is written. Six consecutive months means the money must be there for six months. Consecutive means they expect it to be in your account for the six months immediately up to the time of your visa application.

1 the money has to be in the bank for 6 months.

2. It can be in more than one account.

3. I think the will accept a fixed term account as long as you can access the funds. You should check with them about it.
