A couple I know got deported to The US to face criminal charges. They fled The US then got arrested in Thailand by immigration by at the request of The US authorities. They were detained here then sent back.

My question, what is the possibility of them coming back ?

It depends upon what was stamped in their passports when they were deported and/or what is shown in immigration records.

They could be flagged in the records and be denied entry under section 12 of the immigration act.

"6. Having been imprisoned by the judgement of the Thai Court ; or by a lawful injunction ; or by

the judgement of the Court of foreign country , except when the penalty is foe petty offense or negligence
or is provided for as an exception in the Ministerial Regulations."
Before trying to enter the country they should have their records checked. This company can check for a reasonable fee. http://www.thaivisaservice.com/

Thank you for the prompt answers. They were detained here , then ailed in The US, it was not a petty offence.

Thanks again.

Deported from Thailand under warrant - jailed in the USA - want to come back to Thailand? 55555!

This is my nomination for the TV Naivety Award.

I simply asked a question to be given a direction as to what the law states. But as always the dregs of TV have to show their moronic attitudes.

Pat on the head for you, get back to your sand pit.
