Oxx
I'm left wondering what is an "artesian well filling project"? And why fill wells (unless it's with water) when the country faces regular droughts? Or are they just capping them?
phoenixdoglover
The NNT - Raising more questions than it answers since 1963. Just my little beef with this "news" organization.
shirtless
You need to look at all officials especially their standard of living, and bank accounts, there will be none left
canuckamuck
No wonder we have a water shortage. The government has been running a well filling operation instead of drilling wells. Easy mistake to make though, could have happened to anyone.

Kasset Tak
Thailand and water management...I have seen many Thai farmers pumping ground water in to ponds and then pump it in to the fields instead of pumping directly from the ground water well. Doing it that way they use more fuel to get the water on the field and get less water because of the evaporation from the pond and leakage in their pump systems... sanukjim
Oh Yes ,Lets send them to an inactive post.
Srikcir
An artesian well is "a well that doesn't require a pump to bring water to the surface; this occurs when there is enough pressure in the aquifer. The pressure forces the water to the surface without any sort of assistance." This government has issued arrest warrants against unnamed persons. No reason why it can't issue an arrest warrant against Mother Nature. Rest assured she has no place to hide.
manhood
Governemental officials face strict punishment: YES inactive post with full salary live long! Do they still have some posts to give away? Half of the posts must be all inactive already as hardly you see somebody working!
HerbalEd
What?? An artesian well, by definition, never needs filling.
mgjackson69
I am familiar with artesian wells, having grown up in an area where that type of well is common. An artesian well does not necessarily bring water to the surface without pumping. If it does, then it is a "flowing artesian well".An artesian well is under positive pressure, bringing water in the well bore to a level higher than the aquifer.I am not familiar with the concept of "filling artesian wells"...what the hell is that?
