KRABI: -- Locals believe a serpent is the cause of a sinkhole at the Khao Phanom Temple, but officials disagree.

Officials from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MNRE) Region 4 in Surat Thani arrived to inspect the sinkhole last week. Their findings concluded that the hole outside the temple – roughly five meters wide and four meters deep – emerged because people have been using a lot of underground water during the drought season.

However, locals insist that the hole was made by a three-headed serpent-spirit, called a Naga, instead.

I have small dragon lizards that dig holes in the ground just maybe it is their big cousin !

What do you expect when the former PM goes to a temple for a ceremony to ward off back luck! Insane:

Thaksin also took part in a ritual to dispel bad luck at Sri Muang Temple, another temple built by King Jaya Setthathirath.

Education is the key.

In consideration of Prayut's return to Thai culture and history, a three-headed serpent-spirit makes more sense.

Thailand is the Land of Superstittions.

Just let them have their fun with the pithacons.

I'll only believe it when the fireballs start.

But for the connoisseurs of Thai Pointing there is indeed a small morsel to be enjoyed here. Check out the monk and his "Pointing Stick". Guess he did not want to be devoured by one or other of the three mouths.

Note that this is the second hole to appear this year. There must be a nest of Nagas in Krabi.
