Sofa throw/loose cover

We have a small dog who likes to come up on the sofa so I need to buy a couple of nice throws to protect it.

The missus went to Index and HomePro today with no joy. I have also looked in Baan & Beyond.

Has anyone ever seen these in Chiang Mai or even Thailand?

I havent seen any while on my travels but what about getting some material from one of those shops in Warrarot Market and getting a local seamstress to sew up the cut ends. They do have a great selection of upholstery type material in thousands of designs.

It would likely wear better than a throw as well.

Just a thought

This is exactly what I did. Far better choice of material / pattern and I was able to get the exact size I needed. Probably worked out cheaper as well.

Just did this last week. The shop with the biggest selection I found was on the main warorot market road towards Thapae road end on the right hand side next to fashion city. Prices ranged from 50-80 Baht/m. You can then take it to the top floor of Kad Luang just down the street where a seamstress can sew up the ends.

For that kind, I think you'd have to go to Central or Robinsons and they wouldn't be cheap.

You can really get some nice fabrics at Warrarot and it would cost peanuts to have someone sew the ends - seriously suggest having a look, some of the larger shops specialise in furnishing quality fabric and if you don't like it when it's on, it's only cost you a couple of hundred baht. Lots of variety from plain to delicately patterned to hideously 1970's bright.
