I'm not slagging off a company here. Just stating facts.

Had pattaya company lomatec around for a quote, no others to compare so obtained a few more and set about checking the prices of the kit used.

After checking the excellent thailand swimming pool shop website, found most mark ups being approx 25% or more? Normal? Or excessive?

Also when I liked the thailand swimming pool shop on Facebook the salesman saw it and said I cost driven, not quality driven..? And no further quotes or replies? Is it me or was he annoyed at being found out? Or am I a cheap Charlie?! Is this level of profit normal? I think not... Several further quotes have shown a more realistic 10 to 15%? (on thailand swimming pool shop price)

I think I'm going to buy my own kit and let builder do the construction, and a friendly specialist install of the kit... (boss of pools at new RamaYana Waterpark)

What are you basing youir 'mark-ups on?

A proper service provided by a legitimate tax-paying company will have overheads to cover that the back-street boys won't.

As far as I know, and I have met the people from Lomatec, they are a reputable company.

Do remember that the cheaper the prices, the less likely the products are to backed up by serious customer and product support.

The very cheapest swimming pool company in Thailand openly openly declares that at their low prices they do not honour the manufacturers' guarantees.

When shopping online, also be sure that you are dealing with a bona fide registered company operating professional internet shopping software and not some free Wordpress html code and blatantly stealing the copyrighted content from the serious vendors.

When I looked at swimming pool companies in Pattaya I found their prices typically over the top by 25-50%.

I used a Thai guy from Rayong who was far cheaper and also services the pool for a lot less. Give them a ring on 0816878792 and get a quote.thumbsup.gif

Mark up is on identical equipment based on 2 different supply websites... Labour charges were maybe +15% to 20%
