chris_samui
I am on a retirement visa that expires August 2016, i will be going to my home country in June to renew my passport since it expires November 2016. My question is, will they issue me a re-entry permit on a passport valid less than 6 months (5 months exactly). I want to make the new passport before applying for a new retirement extension. I cannot make a new passport at my embassy, since my main address is at my home country (new policy of Belgium). Pls. Advice
elviajero
Yes. It will be issued for the remaining term of your extension of stay. When you return to Thailand with a new passport show the IO the old and new passports.
chris_samui
Thanks a lot, was a bit worried. Can I still make the re-entry at the airport, as before?

You can, but there is a new office at BKK and it is closed between midnight and 5 am. http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/910385-new-location-of-re-entry-office-at-suvarnabhumi/
