PHUKET: -- An investigating panel of the Phuket’s land office has resolved unanimously to revoke the Nor Sor Sam Kor land certificate of 24 rai land plot on Naka Noi island of Phu Khao Hok Look Company.

Phuket land official Mr Watcharin Jetanavanich said Wednesday that the panel’s decision would be forwarded to the director-general of Land Department for consideration. The final decision whether the land certificate will be revoked or not rest with the land department chief, he added.

As far as the Phu Khao Hok Look Company is concerned, Mr Watcharin said that if the land department chief agrees with the panel’s decision, the company has the right to appeal against the decision within 15 days to the interior permanent secretary who will assign one of his deputies overseeing the Land Department to consider the appeal.

Investigation into the land ownership of Phu Khao Hok Look was prompted by a complaint lodged by the Hirunpruek family which owns 53 rai of land, also on Naka Noi island off Phuket.

Another panel is investigating the Hirunpruek family’s land ownership following a complaint from Phu Khao Hok Look Company.

Perhaps donate it to the Sea Gypsies and move them all from their slum in Rawai?
