If suppose my Visa got rejected because I applied for 50 days Tourist visa but they did not agree with my documentations, can I reapply for the same but this time I shorten the trip to 2 weeks instead? I will probably apply just after 2 days or rejection so will embassy question me or will I get this new visa rejected too?

Country - India

I have been to Thailand last year for 2 weeks on the same tourist visa but this time i wanted to stay there for the whole duration of the visa thats why I am confused

If you have only been in Thailand once before, have no overstay, and satisfy the documented requirements for a 60-day tourist visa, then I would normally not expect you to have a problem. If, however, you previously applied for a different kind of visa and were rejected, this might change the way your application is viewed. Using the full permitted duration of stay is not a reason to deny the visa. Suspicion that you plan to visit for other than tourism can be.

Rather than "supposing" was the rejection accompanied by an actual reason?

The Indian consulates can be demanding of correct paperwork, are you sure everything was in order?

Check the relevant consulate's website for the current requirements.

Assuming you applied via VFS did they raise any concerns when you applied?

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

  • They will only issue the visa if you can provide whatever documents they ask for, and how many of the 60 days you plan to stay is irrelevant.

If you only want 2 weeks you can get a VOA.
