November 7, 200619 yr Hi all my partner applied for a defacto spouse visa to australia in may, had his interview on the 20th of june and handed in his outstanding documents on the 8th of august, we havent heard anything from the embassy yet. Does this time frame seem to long? is somthing wrong?? he emailed his case officer early last week to advise her of a changed phone number and asked what her personal thoughts were on the visa arriving before december but hasnt got any response yet. My main concern is that our application has been misplaced or lost, is there any way of finding this out? I dont want to make any phone calls as I know we're not supposed to so any email addresses would be appreciated. cheers
November 7, 200619 yr Hi Miggin Please click this link http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=84284 Here is the forum that I asked MM before you can send e-mail to jayne brenet and cc your case officer. I did send to her and got reply in the next day. And now at the embassy they provide another service as the link below: http://www.thailand.embassy.gov.au/bkok/Vi...fMigration.html Hope this will help Wish you all the best
November 7, 200619 yr Good on ya, Little Bee...thanks for providing that link. I'm glad the contact details worked for you. Migginsmiff, the De-Facto category is possibly the most difficult category to get approval. I also took this path and had to face follow up enquiries that needed answering. Any follow up enquiry often comes from the powers to be at the head of the Embassy. Usually by this stage, your application has already been passed on by your case officer to her superiors. Checking on, or considering the additional information that you supplied to the Embassy could be the cause behind the delay. I'm sure your application hasn't been lost. I suggest that you follow the information given in the link that Little Bee supplied and await a reply. Good luck.
