NRCT showcases award-winning innovations by Thai students

BANGKOK, 19 May 2016 (NNT) - The National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) has put on public display award-winning innovations by Thai students.

According to the NRCT, Thai students have claimed 10 awards from the International Engineering Invention Innovation Exhibition or ‘i-ENVEX 2016’ in Malaysia. Another 50 awards were claimed from another event held in Switzerland.

Deputy Prime Minister ACM Prajin Juntong said the government has placed greater emphasis on research achievements, which can be economically beneficial to the country.

The private sector will also be asked to co-invest in the commercialization of these creations. The Deputy Prime Minister said all the awards would inspire Thai students to produce more community-based and economically-oriented inventions.

A framework has been set up by the government, where support will be given to the development of technology that will promote economic growth and reduce the need for Thailand to rely on imports.

Good work,

Some passed exams without help?

After many years here and seeing how innovative the rural folks are when something breaks or leaks I can see why the students won the awards. It's in their genes. Good job.
