UK Offshore Sector At Record Low

Contractors’ confidence hit a record low in the UK Continental Shelf (UKCS) with grey prospects on the employment front, an industry survey reports.As oil prices continue to impact oil and gas activity, decisions on output and the UK industry are expected to continue to be influenced by global dynamics.

“The uncertainty which all those in the industry face at the moment regarding their livelihoods continues and any slowdown in the shedding of jobs does not appear to be materialising”, oil and gas partner at Bond Dickinson, Uisdean Vass, said.
