I intend to return to Thailand from S Africa for the season and want to bring my house boy and cook boy for the duration - say 3 months - as I will be entertaining often. Myself and the mem have 'retirement visas' but I'm not sure what my servants will require. Can anyone please advise?

I doubt you will find an appropriate visa for "servants"

The two people mentioned will either be able to qualify for a visa in their own right or not.

If these individuals are under the age of 50 the best they can hope for is a tourist visa unless you purchase them a Thai Elite membership each.

To add, to be completely official they would also need Workpermits.

May be easier than the honest route. I doubt that domestic staff is one of the approved occupations for foreign labor with work permits since it can generally be done by a Thai. Especially if the employer is a foreign national with no registered company to absorb them.

But seriously, tourist visas are probably the highest probability for success, with minimal risk as long as you don't get on the bad side of a local who would rat you out.
