Fake fans paid to cheer Leicester City during Bangkok victory parade
EXCLUSIVE by GRAEME CULLIFORD

Thai King Power employees paid £10 to attend the parade

BANGKOK: -- THOUSANDS of Thais were paid to pose as Leicester City fans for the club’s Premier League victory parade in Thailand, we can reveal.

Masses lined roads in club colours to wave at the stars as the open-top bus weaved through Bangkok.

Club captain Wes Morgan said: “We’ve had some special receptions when we’ve arrived in Thailand in the past, but nothing like this. This is incredible.”

No way, I refuse to believe this as things like that would never happen here.

This major issue deserves, and will probably get, the full attention of the PM as nothing can be more important than defending the national honour in the face of more ridiculous nonsense from foreigners who just don't understand Thainess.

These are not fake fans, these are Rent a mob or Rent a crowd, and it's legitimate occupation

around the world as can be seen in movies making and taped TV programs.....

"A year ago a pre-season tour ended in scandal when three players were videod taking part in a “racist orgy” with Thai girls.

The aces were fired later."

Aces? Don't think so, they were fringe players who did not feature much, if at all, in Leicesters season last year.

No proof then, where is the evidence of the social media ad? if they were paying king power employees surely they would have needed no ad, just give them the time off and pay them extra. There were not 'thousands' there anyway. This is the Sun, well known for it's lies about football stories, many will still not touch the rag if they are from Liverpool.

Force of habit.

Rent a mob is the same thing as fake fans. they are both fake.

Fakes? In Thailand? Never.

Huh, how can somebody be or recognize a FAKE FAN???

It was reported in The Sun, must be true!

The paper that reported the 'facts' about Liverpool fans robbing the dead at the Hillsborough tragedy, complete and utter lies as was later proved.

If true (for employees/volunteers), 10 quid = 500 Baht is for daily allowance for expenses such as travel and food/bev to this important company-sponsored event.

I've worked for multi-nationals, and this is normal.

Well a good combination, a fake football team (nobody really thinks that any of the players come from Leicester) and a fake rent a mob posing as fans, now we need to get the fake PM to welcome them to Bangkok and everything is perfect!

Hardly any premier players come from their own towns, so they are all 'fake' then?

True.. Looked like a real crowd..

But I'm sure Thais were paid..

Why would Thais, give a reception or give rats arse about a football team from the UK?

No, "real" men make macho comments on a forum... Yawn!

Exactly what I thought, complete BS. More like occasionally players come from their hometown.

Fake football team, they won the PL on merit, not fake at all.

So now they're paying people to disrupt traffic at the city center during rush hour. Thainess 101 4u.

Seems the Sun found out they were having fun on Friday LINK

It's not really surprising that a team like Leicester City doesn't have many genuine Thai fans. As this was a marketing exercise, paying people to make up the crowd was a sensible idea.

Happens everywhere, rent a crowd as an earlier poster said.

No news.

Yeah, all that scrumming down, with a mass of sweaty men clinging onto each other and sticking their faces next to each others rear ends, is so macho...

Paying people to attend the Premier League victory parade was just a misunderstanding.

Someone at Thai King Power confused the parade with an election.

Were there any "foreigners" in the crowd and did they have work permits to have gainful employment as "fake fans"?

Pathetic!
